Challenge:
As a User Interface Designer for Carmandu, my main focus was to design a visually appealing and user-friendly website that would make it easy for customers to find and purchase their ideal family cars and utility vehicles. I started by reviewing the UX research that had already been conducted and identified pain points and areas of opportunity for improvement in the user interface.
Using Whimsical I created wireframes and after the review and certain changes I designed the website in Figma with a focus on creating an intuitive user experience. I optimized the layout, typography, and color scheme to ensure that the design was aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate. I also designed the homepage, product pages, and shopping cart pages to be visually appealing and optimized for conversions.
One of the key features of the website was the ability to compare product features side by side. To ensure that the design was not overwhelming, I carefully balanced the amount of information displayed. I also designed a review system that allowed users to post text, photo, and video reviews of their purchases, which helped to increase engagement and build trust with customers.
Throughout the design process, I worked closely with the development team to ensure that the design was technically sound and feasible. We conducted user testing and gathered feedback to continually improve the user interface. Carmandu was launched some time before the outbreak of COVID-19, sadly, it could not survive the pandemic.
